Digital imprints

Orthodontics
Dr. Karaferis

The orthodontic specialty in modern digital era is facing new horizons and the configuration of new methods that relate to both the diagnosis and the manners of its application, i.e. the healing!

With the help of the digital imprint, which is something extremely new and pioneering, we can now not only prevent imprint taking in the traditional way but also give the patient, even in the first session, the possibility for him to see his orthodontic problem and then see how these problems will be corrected, how the upper and lower jaw will be as well as and the occlusion!! Therefore the stages of a treatment as well as the movements of the teeth and jaws during this time are presented to the patient in the first session.

We can thus design the treatment immediately, choose the appropriate treatment plan and if necessary immediately pass it on to the orthodontic laboratory in case we need a mobile appliance in the upper or lower jaw.
The digital imprint also offers us fast and immaculate planning in the case of treatments performed with arrays of transparent splints, regardless of the technique, such as Invisalign, clear Aligner…. In the very near future we will be able, in combination with dental 3D Printer, to produce in our own clinic every kind of orthodontic appliance that concerns the correction of an orthodontic problem or even a appliance of maintaining the final structure after the completion of the orthodontic therapy.

The existence of the digital panoramic machine in our clinic enables us to check every detail of the oral barrier at the same time of the patient's first session, to diagnose immediately and without any blind points any Orthodontic problem such as the existence of an impacted tooth, supernumerary or a congenital missing teeth.
